Today is my little girl's first birthday! She turned 1 on 11/1/11 - surely an auspicious date! It was such a busy day, we hardly had time to celebrate, but she did get a birthday present, and we threw a quick birthday party in between lunch and her being whisked off for a meeting with the doctor. Later in the afternoon, Gulnara and I were running around collecting documents, and we went to the maternity hospital where she was born. So exactly one year later, I got to take pictures of her birth place.
